Privacy policy
OFP Chemicals processes personal data of visitors, prospects and customers. This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it and what rights you have. We keep it concrete: not general wording that would fit any website, but what actually happens here.

1. Who is responsible for your data?
The data controller is OFP Chemicals. You can reach us at the details below, including for anything privacy related.

We have not appointed a data protection officer (DPO): our processing activities do not fall within the cases where the GDPR requires one. Privacy questions reach us at the email address above.
2. What data do we collect?
We only collect data you enter yourself or that is technically needed to run the website. We do not buy address lists and we do not enrich your data with external databases.
Through the forms on this site (quote, sample, data sheet, contact):
- first and last name
- email address
- phone number (optional)
- company name and job title (optional)
- the product your question is about, and the volume selected
- the estimated quantity or frequency you provide
- your message
- the request type and the language you are using the site in
When you email or call us, we also process the content of that message and your contact details. If you become a customer, we add the data needed to deliver and invoice: delivery address, billing address, VAT number, contact persons and payment details.
We do not process special categories of personal data (such as health, political opinions or biometrics) and we do not target minors.
3. What do we use it for, and on what basis?
Every processing activity has a purpose and a legal basis under Article 6 GDPR. The table below sets out, per purpose, the basis we rely on and how long we keep the data.

Retention periods are maximums. If you ask us to erase your data sooner and no legal obligation stands in the way, we will.
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing, and we do not build profiles to predict your behaviour.
5. Who gets to see your data?
Your data stays within OFP Chemicals, except where we need a service provider to operate. Those providers are processors: they may only use the data for the task we assign, they are bound by a data processing agreement, and they may not use the data for their own purposes. We do not sell your data. One exception: Meta also uses the pixel data for its own purposes and is not a mere processor for that. The pixel runs only after you accept marketing in the cookie banner, and you can withdraw that choice at any time.

Where a provider may process data outside the European Economic Area, this is done on the basis of the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, supplemented by technical measures such as encryption.
We may also share data with our accountant, our carriers (for delivery) and, where the law obliges us, with government authorities.
6. How do we protect your data?
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures. In practice: all traffic to this site is encrypted over HTTPS, the database is only reachable over a secure connection, the admin environment requires a personal account, and access to requests is limited to the staff who need it to help you.
No measure removes every risk. If you suspect something is wrong with the security of your data, report it to us at info@ofpchemicals.be. In the event of a breach posing a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you, and we will report the breach to the Belgian Data Protection Authority within 72 hours.
7. What rights do you have?
The GDPR grants you a set of rights you can exercise against us. No form is needed: an email is enough.
- Access: you may ask what data we hold about you and receive a copy.
- Rectification: we correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure: you may ask us to delete your data, unless we are legally required to keep it.
- Restriction: you may ask us to pause processing, for instance while we investigate a dispute.
- Objection: to processing based on our legitimate interest, including commercial communication.
- Portability: you may receive the data you provided in a common format, or have it transferred.
- Withdrawing consent: where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time, without affecting what happened before.
Send your request to info@ofpchemicals.be. We respond within one month. If your request is complex, we may extend that period by two months, telling you so within the first month. To avoid handing data to the wrong person, we may ask you to prove your identity.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your request, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, contact@apd-gba.be. You may also go to court.
8. Changes to this policy
If the way we process data changes, we update this policy. The version and date at the top indicate which text applies. Where a change materially affects your rights, we will notify you actively, and where the law requires it, we will ask for your consent again.
