UFI codes (Unique Formula Identifier)
A UFI code (Unique Formula Identifier) is a unique 16-character code that must be stated on the label of a chemical mixture.
This code is linked to the exact composition of the product and is mandatory under the CLP Regulation
(Classification, Labelling and Packaging).
Why is a UFI code important?
In the event of an accident or poisoning, emergency services or poison centers can immediately retrieve the correct product information using the UFI code — enabling faster and more targeted assistance.
For this reason, it is crucial that the code is correctly registered and communicated.
